Floor Cleaning Machinery Service Engineer

This is an ideal opportunity to join our machinery repairs division, offering a unique service and maintenance solution. Following a major contract win, we are looking to recruit experienced Mobile Service Engineers in key areas of the UK, specialising in the floor cleaning machinery and commercial laundry markets.

We are currently recruiting Engineers to be located in the Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol and London areas undertaking the service, maintenance, repair and PAT of a wide range of floor cleaning machines and commercial laundry equipment.

Ideally you will possess the following attributes:

  • Demonstrable experience of service and maintenance of floor cleaning machines and/or commercial laundry equipment
  • Skills in electro/mechanical engineering with extensive demonstrable experience in fault finding
  • Excellent communicator (both written and verbal)
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to working
  • Customer service skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Cleaning Operative - Clapham
Based at: Clapham, London

The Role

We are looking for a cleaning operative to carry out daily cleaning duties at a hospice located in Clapham. Successful candidates will be expected to undertake a wide range of cleaning duties to meet client requirements, monitored outcomes and high standards within a healthcare setting. Candidates must be comfortable working in a hospice environment.

Cleaning personnel may be required to undertake:

  • Cleaning: – Patient rooms, baths, laboratories, offices, halls, corridors and other areas:
  • Washing of beds, equipment and fixtures.
  • Cleaning of utility and storage rooms, maintaining in a clean and orderly order.
  • Distributing laundered articles and linens.
  • Replacing and/or soiled drapes and cubicle curtains.
  • Performance of other duties as described under cleaning.
  • May be asked to disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies, using approved chemicals and sterilizing equipment in line with National & Local Infection Control Policies & Procedures.
  • Catering Areas and corridors, en-suite areas, public toilets/ showers/bathrooms, common rooms/ meeting rooms, tea areas, computer rooms, lecture theatres, and high risk sterile areas.

Key Accountabilities:

As an indication, duties will include the following tasks (this list is not exhaustive):

General Cleaning
Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and spot washing of floors (internal and external)
Dusting and polishing
Waste bin and rubbish segregation and disposal in accordance with site policies
Toilets and toilet floors, wash hand basins and washing areas, disinfecting, polishing and dusting as appropriate.
Replenishing consumables as required
Windows and glazing cleaning and polishing
Brushing and vacuuming soft furnishings
Kitchen equipment cleaning

Carpet cleaning
Snow clearance and gritting, external area cleaning, chewing gum and graffiti removal
Window cleaning (Internal and External)

Key technical skills, experience and qualifications
Experience of a wide range of cleaning duties
Proven experience of using modern cleaning machinery

Qualified at least to BICS Level 1

Healthcare cleaning can involve interaction with the public, clinical and other domestic staff, patients including vulnerable individuals. For these reasons we will require a clean D.B.S. check as well as a good public manner and clear communication ability.

Working Team Leader
Job Purpose
Leading a team of operatives and participation in cleaning activities overseeing quality of performance and outcomes.

To lead and co-ordinate the cleaning activities of cleaning personnel and ancillary staff to meet and maintain high standards on a client healthcare site. To ensure that Company Handbook/Policies are adhered to, by yourself and all members of staff that work with you.

To carry out hands on cleaning and associated duties as required ensuring the delivery of the contract services.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supervise a team of cleaning personnel on a daily basis at the client site ensuring that cleaning activities follow the appropriate methodologies.
  • Provide support, training and guidance to staff in respect of their duties.
  • Monitor and organise the maintenance of machinery and consumable stores.
  • Respond to client queries and requests.
  • Provide hands-on cleaning support.
  • Ensure that appropriate risk assessments are followed.
  • Ensure all electrical cleaning machinery used has been PAT Tested and is in a safe, clean working order.
  • Submit reports to Line Supervisor as directed and report on any machinery failures.
  • Liaise with the Supervisor to provide progress and feedback reports.
  • Monitor and maintain Health & Safety procedures on site and ensure clients policies are understood and followed by operatives.
  • Ensure adherence to any site specific rules or policies.
  • Identify any operatives training needed and report this to the Supervisor.
  • Report any staff shortcomings to site Supervisor.
  • Ensure maintenance of cleaning cupboard in a safe, orderly manner and safe storage of chemical products.

ey technical skills, experience and essential qualifications:
The ability to lead and motivate a team of operatives to perform a range of cleaning duties including specialist cleans.

A good working knowledge of general cleaning and Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Mobile Decontamination Operative - Orpington
Job purpose:

To undertake a range of decontamination processes operating appropriate machinery to meet client requirements, monitored outcomes and high standards within a healthcare setting on an on call basis. This is a full-time position.

The Operative will be required to undertake:

  • Measurement of room sizes.
  • Calculation of spray volume and decontamination time.
  • Preparation of room to be decontaminated (sealing vents, covering fire alarms, sealing doors and preparation of room contents before commencement).
  • Adhering to strict health and safety requirements (both Company and Site Specific).
  • Advising staff, visitors, and patients of the operation by use of appropriate signage.
  • Ensuring room isolation is not disturbed during process.
  • Measurement of “safe” air levels post operation and before allowing re-entry to area affected.
  • Maintenance of equipment and PPE used.
  • Removal of sealing tape, uncovering of vents and fire alarms after completion to restore area to a clean and orderly state.
  • Strict adherence to Site Infection Control Policies & Procedures.
  • Safe transporting and storage of chemicals used.
  • Disposal of used containers in accordance with site policy.
  • Performance of other duties as required by the site manager or line manager.

Healthcare cleaning can involve interaction with the public, clinical and other domestic staff and patients, including young and vulnerable individuals. For these reasons we will require an enhanced D.B.S. check to be carried out by us and the operative will, additionally, need to have a good public manner and clear written and spoken communication ability.

Call outs are attended as required so a clean driver’s license is essential

Delivery Driver

We are looking for a responsible Delivery Driver to distribute products promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.

General responsibilities to include;

  • Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses, mainly in the London area, and through different routes
  • Follow routes and time schedule
  • Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle

Cleaning Operatives - Central London

Experienced Commercial Cleaners Required at various sites in London Area, use of Cleaning machines an advantage eg. Floor Care. BICSc an advantage although training will be provided

General requirements to include;

  • Vacuuming, dusting, emptying bins, the polishing of surfaces, mopping of areas required.
  • To ensure that the correct equipment and colour code system is applied and used at all times
  • To ensure a high quality service is provided to the building users at all time ensuring customer satisfaction
  • The observation of health and safety guidelines at all times is a critical element of the role
  • To report any concerns or issues to the supervisor immediately for action e.g. broken equipment
  • Ensure that the required colour coding system is used
  • Ensure that all duties are completed in the time provided to a high standard
  • Knowledge of basic cleaning equipment and materials. (Training will be provided in the use of more sophisticated equipment and Health and Safety matters.)

Other requirements

  • Has achieved a good attendance record.
  • Fit to carry out cleaning duties including bending, walking, pushing, lifting and handling equipment.
  • Possess good communication skills including understanding/accepting instruction.

Salary: £7.50 /hour
