Helping Local Unemployed

CK Group have hosted a sector based training course at their South East London training facility, with the aim of helping local unemployed back into work and into cleaning operative roles.

The course was compiled and carried out by N-Gaged, a pre-employment training company based in Bristol. The company conduct many different courses including logistics and taxi driver training, retail, ICT and more. However, a cleaning sector based training course was a relatively venture.

Candidates were invited to a setup meeting at Lewisham Job Centre, where CK Group, N-Gaged and Blue Arrow Recruitment introduced themselves and explained the full details of the areas to be covered over the two week course.

The course not only covered the basics of cleaning, but also health and safety, chemical competence and hospitality. This broad range of criteria covered gives successful participants more chance of being placed into one of CK Group’s sites in temporary or permanent employment.

3 Companies, 1 goal

Originally, the course was trialed by CK Group and N-Gaged in 2015 to help recruit staff for an ongoing support team at the New Southmead Hospital in Bristol. It was the success of this course that was the main deciding factor to deliver a similar course in London.

Blue Arrow Recruitment were the final party involved and were crucial for the organisation and logistics in bringing the course to the Capital. Now that course has been completed, they will be responsible for coordinating staff to CK Group’s various contracts.

Succesful Sector Based Training

The course was well received by all candidates and due to its success, more courses will be scheduled throughout the year. Please stay tuned to CK Group’s latest news for updates on this event.
